Stepping off at 9 a.m. sharp on Tuesday, July 4, the Greeley Stampede Independence Day Parade features over 120 floats, marching bands, longhorns, and equestrians from around Colorado and surrounding states. The parade route starts on the University of Northern Colorado campus at 10th Avenue and 19th Street and runs along 10th Avenue to 5th Street just past Lincoln Park.
Celebrate the Greeley Stampede Finale
The Fourth of July always marks the final day of the Greeley Stampede. The grounds open at 11 a.m., and the lineup features free live music, the Western Art Show, the Demolition Derby, plus all the carnival rides, food, and drink a person could possibly enjoy.
Is there anything that says Fourth of July quite like fresh lemonade and a ride on the Ferris Wheel? We don’t think so!
Travel in Time With the Historical Centennial Village Museum
You’re celebrating our nation’s history, so why not immerse yourself in our local Weld County history, too? Centennial Village Museum is a living history experience that features over 35 historical buildings, costumed interpreters, heritage farm animals, and 8-acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. Visitors step back in time and learn about the settling of the western high plains, a time when grand houses, growing businesses, extensive prairies and agriculture were all a part of daily life.
Centennial Village is open from noon-6 p.m. on Independence Day. Pro tip: If you already have tickets to the Stampede for that day, admission into the museum is included.
Enjoy the Great Outdoors in Greeley
With 40 parks, 30 miles of trails, and over 2,000 acres of natural areas, Greeley, Colorado, is known for its beautiful outdoor spaces. Take advantage of the summer weather and explore the city’s recreational areas. Every year, the Greeley Stampede closes out its festival and the Independence Day holiday with a truly spectacular fireworks show that can be seen from miles away. The pyrotechnics will be launched over Island Grove Regional Park starting around 9:30 p.m. on July 4. In addition, on Greeley’s west side, The Greeley Country Club (4500 West 10th Street) has a display planned.
