takeout tuesday tacosDue to COVID-19, many of us are ordering take-out more than we had in the past. Do you seem to get stuck ordering food from the same places? Sure, we all have our preferred places to order take-out or drop in for a bite, but how often do you branch out and try something new?

Community members Bianca F. and Natalie S. provided MyGreeley recommendations on their favorite eateries to order take-out in Greeley.  Maybe their favorite restaurants may inspire you to try out a new place to explore some more fabulous food.

Bianca’s Favorite Restaurants

  • Luna’s Tacos and Tequila
    806 9th St.
    Bianca loves the great family packs and delicious margaritas.  She said that “the bag of tiny ice is a must!”
  • Margie’s Java Joint
    931 16th St.
    Margie’s has “the BEST avocado toast in town,” Bianca said. “I am one happy camper  when you combine that with some Harbinger coffee.”
  • Santeramo’s Pizza House and Italian Food
    1229 10th Ave.
    Santeramo’s is “perfect for a homemade pasta or calzone craving,” Bianca said. Don’t forget to order dessert. “The giant, warm cookie topped with ice cream is to die for.”
  • Cheba Hut Toasted Subs
    1645 8th Ave and 4239 Centerplace Dr.
    Bianca said, “the sandwich combos are just the best. I hear the salads are good too.”
  • Wing Shack
    1815 65th Ave. and  2704 8th Ave.
    The whole family loves the wings. “My husband is in heaven when the wings arrive.”

Natalie’s Favorite Restaurants

  • Aunt Helen’s Coffee House
    800 8th Ave. and 940 9th Ave.
    Aunt Helen’s “is a great place to pick up a quick bite for breakfast or lunch,” Natalie said. “The coffee is excellent too, and my favorite is the chocolatey, Tall Dark, and Handsome. “
  • Lucky Fins Seafood Grill
    4530 Centerplace Dr.
    Natalie says, “the roasted poblano-jalapeno cream is so good on a cold day. I also enjoy the salmon caesar salad. She also loves the appetizers and desserts too.
  • Empire State Pizza
    2700 8th Ave.
    “I enjoy the New York-style pizza at Empire State.” Natalie orders hers with a six-pack of beer from Crabtree.
  • The Paragon Family Restaurant
    2725 W 10th St.
    “My family loves this place,” she said.  One of Natalie’s favorite orders is the feta cheese and spinach omelet.
  • Doug’s Day Diner
    801 9th St.
    “Doug’s serves a great breakfast,” Natalie said. “The Papas is a mountain of yummy, the carne asada and the skinny are my favorites. Also, I need some toast to make sure I get a serving of homemade jam. Sometimes I order more peach jam to take home. “
  • Coyote’s Southwestern Grill
    5250 W 9th St. Dr.
    Coyote’s has “great lunch and dinner options,” Natalie said.  Her favorite thing is to pick up breakfast burritos in the morning, “I crave them often.”
