Dena Egenhoff, water conservation manager for the City of Greeley, has led her team to remarkable achievements. In her 2.5 years with the city, her team has helped residents save 1,101 acre-feet of water. That is the equivalent of the annual water needs for 2,753 households. Securing over $2 million in grants, they have off-set water rates for Greeley residents.
Dena played a crucial role in developing the 2022 Water Efficiency Plan which offers a comprehensive roadmap for the city to meet its future water needs. These achievements highlight the team’s commitment to responsible stewardship of Greeley’s water resources.
“These achievements underscore our commitment to excellence and our determination to ensure the responsible stewardship of Greeley’s water resources,” Dena said.
Greeley’s water conservation team offers customized services such as water efficiency assessments, online tools, turf replacement options, educational outreach, and water rebates to meet those needs.
“Our most notable achievement lies in forming a proficient team of water conservation experts dedicated to serving our community,” Dena said. “Seeing our positive impact and being part of a community that values sustainability is deeply fulfilling and motivating factors in my work.”
