Fun fact: The acquisition of this property doubles Greeley’s protected natural land!

Through the City of Greeley’s partnership with O

Through the City of Greeley’s partnership with O-I Glass’ Glass4Good program, we’ve made a significant impact in the third quarter of 2024! Thanks to the community’s dedication to recycling, our glass recycling program raised and donated $1,381 to United Way of Weld County, with an impressive 21 tons of glass collected just in the third quarter alone!

Recycling this glass also yielded incredible environmental benefits, saving 6,860 kg of CO₂ emissions — the equivalent of planting 114 tree seedlings that would grow for 10 years! This is also similar to taking 1.5 passenger vehicles off the road in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

Want to help make an impact? You can recycle glass at any time at our two drop-off sites:
- Crabtree Brewing Company, 2961 29th Street
- Andersen’s Sales & Salvage, Inc., 1490 E. 8th Street

When recycling, please rinse all glass containers before depositing. Eligible items include beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic glass bottles and glass food jars and containers. Please remember that windows, solar panels, heat-resistant glass, computer or TV screens, light bulbs, mirrors and ceramics cannot be recycled here.

Short-term rentable e-scooters and e-bikes are com

Short-term rentable e-scooters and e-bikes are coming to downtown Greeley!

The City of Greeley has selected @ridespin, the #1 micromobility provider in North America, to operate a pilot program on the @unc_colorado campus and in @downtowngreeley through December 2025.

The fleet will feature Spin’s e-scooters and e-bikes. Riders can access the vehicles through the Spin mobile app, which allows users to locate, rent and pay for rides. The app will provide information on where to ride, park, and report issues.

The pilot program will cover an area from 35th Avenue to the railroad tracks, between U.S. Hwy 34 and 4th/5th Street. We'll ask for your feedback throughout the pilot program, and then we'll present the findings to City Council to help decide if a longer-term program should be launched in Greeley.
