Happy Trails to You in the City

One of the things I love about running in Greeley is the proximity of trails that can be found within the city limits. These soft surfaces provide a welcome respite from repetitive pavement pounding with the added benefit of experiencing nature without leaving town. I try and work these trails into almost every outdoor outing. Among my favorites are those that have expanded along the Poudre Trail, and existing dirt surfaces in Country Club West, and iconic Josephine Jones and Bittersweet parks. My regular go-to spots are behind the Youth Sports Complex, the natural area of Sheep’s Draw behind the Family Funplex, and a section flanking the western edge of Aims’ campus. Whether you’re a walker, biker, or fellow runner, it’s nice to have options for nearby places to enjoy the outdoors.
